In the village of Vydrychka in Rakhiv district, there was the traditional festival "Vydrychanska vyshyvanka", which aims to show the richness of decoration of Hutsul clothing, the processes of its making.
The celebration was attended by the director of the "Hutsul land branch" of the Institute of Ukrainian Studies of the Kyiv Shevchenko University Petro Shkribliak.
The festival in Vydrychka is characterized in that it is not just entertainment and food, but also a kind of competition between the best mistresses of the village. The competent jury determined the best mistresses in the following categories: Hutsul souvenir, Patsyorka embroidery, thread embroidery, embroidered towels and tablecloth.
The participants, as well as most active citizens of Vydrychka, involved in the public life of the village, were awarded with presents. The guests of the festival were entertained by the dance troupe of the Ukrainian – Hungarian Cultural Society "Edelweiss", known in Rakhiv humorist Myron Bilinkevych.
