Wooden walkways in Uzhgorod, despite the publications in the media and appeals of city residents continue to crumble. The boards of the walkway on Shvabska st. were already replaced, but now they are broken again. At the intersection of Mukachivska and Robocha the walkways has been built almost on the roadway. Here the story is the same, also the supports are leaning as if about to fall. The wooden structure opposite Sandor Petofi square barely keeps up and is covered with tattered posters and placards.
By the law, the owners of construction projects should be responsible for maintaining these "corridors" in good condition, otherwise they must be dismantled. However, the Uzhgorod municipal police, who is supposed to control such owners, will not react.
