In Uzhgorod, two robbers, who brutally beat a security guard, were indicted

With the approval of the prosecutor of the Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office, police investigators indicted two residents of the village of Haloch, Uzhgorod district, of a robbery.
It has been found out that the suspects broke into the premises of a local private enterprise and brutally beat a security guard. The 58-year-old man with serious injuries is staying unconscious in the intensive care unit of a local hospital.
After stealing the victim’s cellphone and some of the company’s property, the attackers fled.
The attackers were quickly identified. They were notified of being suspected of robbery committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons, combined with breaking and entering and combined with causing grievous bodily harm (Part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The choice of pre-trial is currently being decided. The prosecutor’s office will request detention.
Further investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Uzhgorod police. Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office provides procedural control over the progress of the investigation.
