This morning, September 9, residents of Hodynka street, 8 found out that their yard where trees grow is private property.

The builders came to put up the fence.

Residents of the houses are outraged – they have planted the trees by themselves, their children play there. Moreover, the new building will be in a few meters from their windows.

Representative of the contractor PE "Promtekhobladnannya" Stanislav Kordonets told the correspondent that they had all necessary permits to start construction work there. The owner (whose name is not known) plans to build a five-story building in the green area. He promises to improve the area around.

Residents are totally against it. They called the police to the scene. People are determined – they say they will not allow anyone to build anything under their windows. The green area is their house territory.

After the police intervention, the builders stopped their work.

Residents, meanwhile, have agreed among themselves to guard the yard in shifts. Also, the activists will seek a personal appointment with the mayor of Uzhgorod, so that he would explain them the situation.
