In Uzhgorod, there will be 40 people’s assessors (LIST)

At the next session of Uzhgorod City Council, which is scheduled for October 24th, among other projects, the list of people’s assessors of Uzhgorod city and district court will be submitted for approval.

The names of those people are in the document on the site of Uzhgorod City Council.

As a reminder, in accordance with Article 57 (Status of a people’s assessor) of the Law of Ukraine "On the Judicial System and Status of Judges", a people’s assessor is a citizen of Ukraine, who, in cases stipulated by the procedural law, decides on cases in court with a judge, ensuring the participation of people in the administration of justice according to the Constitution of Ukraine (254k / 96-BP). People’s assessors, during the consideration of and decision making on cases, have the powers of a judge. People’s assessors carry out the duties specified in paragraphs 1-5 of the fourth part of Article 54 of this Law.
