Works on cutting and felling of trees in Uzhgorod continue. The special interdepartmental commission of the city council beautification department decides what trees should be "trimmed" and to what extent. Experts say that they take into account the age and height of old trees. The Commission also takes account of individual appeals received from citizens, they go to the site and define the quality status of trees. After that, they recommend to perform pruning, trimming or removal of a tree.
There are over 1000 such dangerous trees growing near parking lots and sidewalks. A quarter of them need to be cut down immediately.
