In Uzhgorod, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a dealer of TNT blocks and found a cache with a grenade launcher

Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine together with the National Police detained in Transcarpathia a local resident who tried to sell an explosive, – the Security Service informs.

Special service operatives detained the offender in Uzhgorod while he was selling six TNT blocks with a total weight of 1.2 kilograms and detonators. After the arrest, the man told the law enforcement officers, where he was keeping other ammunition.

The law enforcers found in the offender’s cache in an abandoned boiler-house a grenade launcher RPG-22, a grenade F-1 and almost one hundred bullets of different caliber.

The detainee is charged with a crime within a criminal proceeding initiated under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The preliminary inquiry is ongoing.

The detainment of the offender was carried out under the procedural control of the Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office.
