In Uzhgorod, the police solved the theft from the “Nova Poshta”

A 28-year-old previously convicted resident of Uzhgorod stole a laptop from the administration office of one of the branches of the "Nova Poshta" in the regional center. The thief was arrested in "hot pursuit" by the criminal police officers

 

On November 25, a manager of the "Nova Poshta" filed a statement to Uzhgorod police. The applicant reported that in one of the city branches, an unknown person had stolen from the administration office a laptop "Lenovo" worth 7,000 UAH.

The thief was arrested in "hot pursuit" by officers of the city criminal police. It was found out that the laptop had been stolen by a 28-year-old resident of Uzhgorod who already had a criminal record for theft.

The police opened criminal proceeding over the theft with breaking and entering (Art. 185, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) . The physical evidence was seized and will be returned to the owners. The choice of a pre-trial restraint is being decided. Investigators are also checking his involvement in the commission of similar crimes in the city.
