In Uzhgorod, the police arrested the thief, who had robbed a church

The 30-year-old thief was released from prison in the summer but resorted to stealing again.

Last night on Telman street in Uzhgorod, the newly built church was robbed. The thieves broke the door to the basement of the church and stole church plate (crosses, candlesticks, etc.), as well as tools and a carpet

The church thief was arrested in "hot pursuit" by employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of Uzhgorod Police.

As it turned out, the church had been robbed a local 30-year-old slacker.

This man already has several previous convictions for committing property crimes.

In July, he was released from prison. He fell back into his old habits.

The police started criminal proceeding over this incident under Part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Burglary).

Physical evidence was seized.

The choice of a pretrial restraint is being decided.

The investigation continues.
