In Uzhgorod, the police arrested a thief of basketball hoops

38-year-old resident of Uzhgorod previously convicted for theft was caught by officers of the Criminal Investigation for the theft of equipment from a playground.

In late November, unknown persons cut off metal basketball hoops from a playground in the yard of an apartment building on Kapushanska street in Uzhgorod.

Residents of the house reported the theft to the police, and officers of the city criminal investigation took the case.Recently, the thief of basketball hoops was detained.

It was found out that the metal hoops had been stolen from the sports ground at night by a 38-year-old resident of Uzhgorod. The man had already been brought to criminal responsibility for theft. The detainee explained to the police, that he intended to sell the stolen hoops for scrap to improve his financial situation…

Instead, he will bear criminal responsibility. The police started criminal proceeding over the theft. The physical evidence was seized.
