Last night, a 22-year-old employee of the Lviv railway appealed to Uzhgorod city police. The man said that at night near the train station in Uzhgorod he had been approached by two unknown men. One of them struck the victim in the face and tore off a gold chain from his neck. Then, the attackers fled.
A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated. The police arrested for committing a robbery a 30-year-old Uzhgorod resident who already has a criminal record for theft and robbery.
The physical evidence – the stolen chain – was seized. The choice of a pre-trial restraint is being decided. The investigation continues.
