In Uzhgorod, the lights of the main Christmas tree of the city on Teatralna Square have started shining (PHOTO-REPORT)

Traditionally, the spectacle was accompanied by the Parade of Mikolajczyks, who marched the main streets of Uzhgorod. Schoolchildren wearing Santa’s costumes and hats distributed candy to passers-by and congratulated them on the holiday. Meanwhile, a bright theatrical performance with fairy-tale characters, Christmas and New Year songs, dances and games was presented on stage.

After a joint call, the Christmas tree of Uzhgorod was lit up with bright lights.

Today’s celebrations near the main tree on Teatralna Square started a long and eventful program of Christmas and New Year holidays in Uzhgorod.
