Yesterday, on April 12, officers of the Uzhgorod Police Department, together with patrol police and protection police officers, detained two Uzhgorod residents and a resident of the village of Storozhnytsya, Uzhgorod district , in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
A few hours before the arrest, 23-year-old and 33-year-old residents of the regional center, along with a 24-year-old resident of the village of Storozhnytsya, broke into one of the shops on Lehotsky street in Uzhgorod and stole about 10 bottles of elite alcohol and a cash register. According to the local resident, who reported the theft, there was at least 500 hryvnias in the cash register.
During a search at the place of residence of one of the detainees, the 33-year-old resident of Uzhgorod, who was previously convicted of theft, law enforcement officers seized 7 bottles of alcohol.
Investigators of the Uzhgorod Police Department opened criminal proceedings under Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The detainees were sent to a temporary detention facility. The investigation is ongoing.
