In Uzhgorod, on Narodna Square priests ask the police not to shed blood

На Народній  продовжується мітинг. Як повідомляють ті, хто знаходиться на площі, у перших рядах біля адмінбудівлі ОДА – прихильники ПР, який охороняє по периметру міліція. Опозиція гуртується біля пам’ятника Т. Шевченка.

The rally on Narodna square continues. According to those who are on the square, PR supporters, guarded by the police, are on the forefront near the RSA building. The opposition grouped around the monument to Taras Shevchenko.

The atmosphere at the Uzhgorod strike is tensed. Oleksandr Ledyda and the mayor Victor Pogorelov spoke to protesters. 

Eyewitnesses claim that the crowd started to throw snowballs. 

Uzhgorod residents write the following in facebook.

Journalist Vitaliy Hlahola: "Priests asked the police not to shed blood. People, who were brought to protect the RSA, shout that there are no Transcarpathians in the opposite camp – only Lviv and Frankivsk. The protesters are outraged.   Also he adds that now "the door to the RSA is blocked from inside. There’s a bunch of police officers there. They let in only people with police certificates."
