In Uzhgorod, men stole tulips from flower beds. They say, for a girl

Last night, the police detained two men who were stealing tulips on B. Khmelnytsky Square. 

After noticing the police car, they tried to run away but were detained "in hot pursuit". The offenders were local residents aged 43 and 20 years old. Both were drunk. They explained that they had done it because they wanted to make a girl happy. 

Proceedings for petty theft have been opened.
