In Uzhgorod, hearing impaired people can receive special mobile phones

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine (№321 dd. 05.05.2012), children and adults with hearing disabilities can receive special mobile phones for text communication.

Such mobile phones are provided subject to the conclusion of the Medico-Social Expert Commission (MSEC) or the Medical Consultative Commission (MCC).

For prescription, contact the Office of Labor and Social Welfare (Uzhgorod, S.Petofi sq., 24-26, office 12) and submit copies of a disabled person’s documents: passport or birth certificate, MSEC opinion on disability for disabled
(for children with disabilities – conclusion of MCC), individual rehabilitation program or conclusion of MCC that contains prescription for special facilities for communication and information exchange.

Authorized workers of the Office of Labor and Social Welfare enter the data on prescription for the means for communication and exchange of information to the Central database of the disabled. After receiving the order, the manufacturer provides the product at the place of registration
