In Uzhgorod district, a man died on fire

On October 8, at 23:00, the operational-rescue service of Transcarpathia received a report of a fire in an outbuilding on Chornohorska street in the village of Velyka Dobron in Uzhgorod district. To eliminate it, crews of the 7th State Fire and Rescue Unit of the city of Chop and the State Fire and Rescue Post of the village of Velyka Dobron were sent at the scene.

Because of a belated report, upon the arrival of fire units, the fire had engulfed the living room and the roof of the summer kitchen. There was a threat of the fire spreading to a nearby residential house.

At 23:45, the firefighters contained the fire, and at 00:47 – completely eliminated it. At the site of the fire, rescuers found the body of a citizen born in 1973.

The material damage is being established, as the fire destroyed household items that were in the room and damaged the ceilings, windows and doors of the building.

The cause of the fire is being established by the police. It is possible that the fire could have been caused by violation of the rules of arrangement and operation of the stove heating.
