In Uzhgorod, couple dozens of people listened to “Our Taras” (PHOTOS)

On the occasion of "Shevchenko days", Transcarpathian Folk Choir prepared a special program in the Regional Philharmonic.

The project "Our Taras" consists of songs on poems by the poet and folk pieces.

Also, they showed an excerpt from Shevchenko’s play "Nazar Stodolya." And amused the audience with a fragment of the musical picture "Vechornytsi" by P.Nischynsky, Ukrainian folk dances "Hopak", "Kozachok" and others.

This concert program is named after the song-poem "Our Taras" written by Victor Telychko with lyrics by Vasyl Vovchok in 1994 for the anniversary of reburial of Taras Shevchenko.

It’s just that only a few dozen Uzhgorod residents were able or wanted to see and listen to Ukrainian art – the concert took place with nearly empty audience hall… However, it was the second time the famous collective showed this program these "Shevchenko days".
