On June 1, on the occasion of the International Children’s Day, a master class "Traditional Transcarpathian toys" will be held in the Transcarpathian Regional Local Lore Museum. The event is organized for the fifth time by the Department of Culture and the Department for Children Affairs of the Regional State Administration in cooperation with the regional branch of the National Union of Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine.
This time, leading masters of the region will teach the intricacies of the making of various traditional toys to pupils of family-type orphanages and foster families from Velyky Berezny, Perechyn, Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Beregovo, Vynogradiv and Tyachiv districts.
In addition to the master class, there will be an entertainment program with the participation of the actors of the Transcarpathian academic regional puppet theater "Bavka" and an excursion to the Uzhgorod castle for the participants, the press service of the Regional State Administration reports.
