Two men involved in the theft of property were arrested by officers of Uzhgorod and Beregovo police departments. Some of the material evidence was seized. Investigation is being carried out in both cases.
An unknown person stole a battery and tools from a car parked near the house of a resident of the village of Verkhni Remety in Beregovo district. The victim reported the theft to the local law-enforcement officers.
Officers of Beregovo criminal police found out that the theft was committed by a 25-year-old resident of the village of Velyki Komyaty, Vynogradiv district.
The stolen things were seized by the police, they will be returned to the owner. Investigators opened a criminal proceeding under Part 3 of Article 181 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Theft with breaking and entering). The detainee is being checked for involvement in committing other property crimes, the choice of pre-trial restraint is being decided.
Officers of Uzhgorod criminal police solved the theft of a bottle of expensive cognac from the store on Gagarin str. The police identified the person involved in the offense. It was a 23-year-old unemployed local resident. The man stole from the shelf of a supermarket the cognac costing 5614 hryvnias, which he drank with his friends. This man is also suspected of stealing alcohol from another store.
Uzhgorod law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings over both thefts, the investigation continues.
