Yesterday, a resident of the city reported to Uzhgorod city police that an unknown person had phoned his wife from a hidden number and said that their 21-year-old son had been arrested for drug possession and they had to pay 1000 USD to have him released.
The woman transferred the money to a bank card of the CB "Privatbank" through the terminal on Koryatovich street. It was later revealed that their son had not been arrested, and was staying at his friends.
