Last weekend in the night a 28-year-old resident of Uzhgorod appealed for help to the city hospital. Doctors diagnosed slaughter wounds of the head, facial bruising and the loss of several teeth. When asked what had happened, the guy said that he had been beaten on the street by unknown attackers.
The doctors reported the incident to the police and investigative team arrived to the scene. As the police found out, it happened at about 23 o’clock on the Hrushevsky street in the regional center. The company of drunk young men, almost all of which had been previously convicted, waylaid the lonely passer-by on the night street. They dragged the victim into a dark place, beat and robbed him taking the money in the amount of UAH 130, mobile phone "Nokia", jacket and other personal belongings.
In hot pursuit the police, supported by fighters of the special forces "Berkut", detained the attackers. It turned out that the Uzhgorod resident had been beaten and robbed on the street by three brothers aged 21-29 years and their 26-year-old friend. The entire company is now brought to criminal liability, they are charged with robbery, committed by a group (Art.187, Part 2 of the Criminal Code). Attackers face 7 to 10 years imprisonment – reported the Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region.
