In Uzhgorod, a man attacked a police officer

During the settlement of a conflict situation by patrol policemen, a resident of Uzhgorod was behaving aggressively, threatened them with physical violence and inflicted bodily harm to a police officers. 
According to the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police, last night, at about 5.30 pm, the police received a report about a conflict situation between the high-rises on Hrushevsky Street in Uzhgorod. 
“Patrol police officers at the scene found out that three local residents resting on a bench had been approached by a passerby, who punched one of the men in the face and tried to snatch money and other property from their hands. The man was intoxicated,” – the report reads. 
Officers of the Uzhgorod Police documented the offense and detained the resident of the regional center, previously convicted of serious crimes. 
“Investigators of the police department registered the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 345 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat or violence against a law enforcement officer) and are deciding on the charges against the 32-year-old detainee. The investigation into the case is ongoing,” – the police informed.
