In Uzhgorod, a foreign student was beaten by his countrymen

The victim claims that he was beaten by his friends that he studies with at the same faculty

This was reported by the Communication Department of the Transcarpathian Regional Police.

Today, on October 26, the police received a report that a foreign student with a bodily injury had been delivered to Uzhgorod Hospital. The 20-year-old man had a closed craniocerebral injury and bruises on the right half of the chest.

The victim told the police that he had been beaten by his friends that he studies with at the university. They and the victim are citizens of the same country. The police officers are checking all the circumstances of this incident. Law enforcers invited the three foreign students named by the victim to Uzhgorod Police Department. They deny their involvement in the fight. The suspects were released after being interviewed. The police found out that all four were at the victim’s place that evening. Pre-trial investigation continues.

The police began a criminal proceeding over the incident under part 2 of Article 125 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, intentional light bodily harm that caused a short-term health disorder or a slight disability.
