In Uzhgorod, a deputy of the City Council was shot (Officially)

Last night, around 21:00, an unknown man made ​​several shots at a 45-year-old deputy of the City Council who had just parked his car in a garage.

The incident occurred around 21:00, on Plekhanov street in Uzhgorod. The victim’s wife, who heard the shots, called the police.

Investigative team, the management Uzhgorod Police Department and the management of the regional police immediately arrived at the scene.

The police officers found that an unknown person, acting with direct intent, had made several shots at the deputy of Uzhgorod City Council. The latter was in an open garage building where he had just parked his car.

The victim, in self-defense, made several shots in response (with a registered air pistol).

Uzhgorod police initiated criminal proceeding over this incident which is classified as an attempted murder. Currently, the police are considering several versions of yesterday’s incident.The first is linked to the professional activities of the victim, the second – to revenge as well as to hooligan motives.

All measures to identify the unknown man are being taken. The preliminary inquiry is ongoing.
