In Tyachiv district, they were illegally mining gravel

The prosecutor’s office initiated criminal proceedings over the illegal mining of gravel Tyachiv district

Tyachiv District Prosecutor’s Office initiated three criminal proceedings over the illegal mining of mineral resources of national importance (Part 2 of Art. 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Currently, they are conducting the necessary investigative measures within the criminal proceedings, one person has been notified of suspicion, notifications of suspicion for other guilty parties are being prepared.  

According to the prosecutor’s office in Tyachiv District, the prosecutor’s check was preceded by the publication on this subject in the media, which referred to the illegal mining of sand and gravel mixture from the riverbed of the Teresva in Tyachiv district.

Thus, during the check, it was found out that in violation of the Code of Ukraine "On Subsoil" and the Water Code of Ukraine, in the town of Dubove, villages of Ternovo and Pidplesha in Tyachiv district, local residents were involved in illegal mining of sand and gravel materials in the bed of the Teresva river without required permits.
