December 6 at 16:45, the rescue service of Transcarpathia received the information that in the customs terminal in Tyachiv on Proletarska street a "Mercedes-Benz Actros" truck was burning. This vehicle belongs to a 60-year-old resident of Mukachevo.
In a few minutes specialists of the state fire and rescue station number 8 arrived at the scene. At 16:58 the fire was localized, and in seventeen minutes completely eliminated.
Later it turned out that the fire originated in the engine compartment of the vehicle.
Tyachiv fire-fighters managed to save the truck from destruction by the fire. However, the fire still destroyed the wiring under the engine compartment and part of the dashboard in the cabin. Amount of damage suffered due to the fire and its cause are being established – reported TD of MOE in Transcarpathian region.
