In Transcarpathia, two unknown men beat a girl and her brother for no reason

Officers of the Irshava Police Department opened an investigation over hooliganism acts by two residents of the district.
Yesterday, December 29, in the evening, police received a report from a 24-year-old resident of Irshava. The girl reported that two unknown young men had beaten her and her brother for no reason.
Police officers arrived at the scene immediately. It was found out that two young men had inflicted injuries to the applicant and her 20-year-old brother at a grocery store on Narodna Square.
Law enforcement officers quickly identified the attackers. They were a 19 and a 24-year-old residents of the village of Ilnytsya in Irshava district. The young men were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. The motives of their actions are being established by law enforcement officers.
The investigators initiated criminal proceedings over the incident under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Hooliganism). The investigation is ongoing.
