Officers of Beregovo district police department Vasyl Prokopchuk and Tibor Saykov detained in the village of Bereguyfolu two foreigners of African appearance without any documents. The illegal migrants turned out to be natives of the distant Sudan.
Local policeman V.Prokopchuk received a call from a guard of a pumping station, which is located on the outskirts of the village of Bereguyfalu in Beregovo district. The man said that near the station, two black men were walking down the country road.
A few minutes later, officers Vasyl Prokopchuk and Tibor Saykov arrived at the specified location where they detained two Africans. They were speaking Arabic and English, but had no documents to confirm their identity or legal stay in Ukraine.
As later was found out, the two men came from the Sudan. One of them was 42 years old, the other one was 44.
The officers immediately reported this fact to the duty officer of the district police station and the State Border Guard Service. The investigation team and border guards arrived at the scene.
– This incident was registered in the Unified register of statements and reports on committed criminal offenses and other incidents of Beregovo district police department – the acting head of Beregovo district police department Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Sakalosh said. – The illegal migrants were referred to Mukachevo border guard detachment.
