The unlawful activity of two employees of the State Enterprise "Yasinya Forestry" has been exposed, the press service of the prosecutor’s office of Transcarpathian region reported.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was found out that an employee of the forestry had illegally cut 67 trees with the total volume of 87 cubic meters. The total amount of the damage caused is more than 580 thousand hryvnias.
In agreement with the prosecutor’s office, the offenders have already been notified of being suspected of official negligence and illegal logging (Part 2 of Article 367 and Art. 246 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), and the pre-trial restraint in the form of a personal commitment have been imposed on them.
The pre-trial investigation in the said criminal proceedings will be completed in the near future, the indictments will be referred to the court.
