In Transcarpathia, they will repair wooden churches included in the UNESCO list

This year, the two wooden churches in Transcarpathia – in the village of Uzhok in Velyky Berezny district and in the village of Yasinya in Rakhiv district – which were included in the UNESCO list – will be renovated at the expense of the regional budget.

This is stipulated by the action plan for 2013 for the implementation of a comprehensive program of preservation and use of cultural heritage in Transcarpathian region. Thus, in Yasinya they will spend 150,000 UAH for the repair of the bell tower, and in Uzhok – 200,000 UAH for the repair of the church fence and the restoration of the bell tower.

Overall, this year, 2,223,000 UAH will be allocated for the program.
