On Saturday, June 29, there will be the visiting meeting of Uzhgorod press-club to the village of Kvasovo in Beregovo district, where during the celebration of International Danube Day they will be clearing the Borzhava river off of household waste. (the departure at 14.30)
The journalists will also visit the new landfill, arranged in Kvasovo within the Borzhava environmental initiatives. On the same day in the village of Kvasovo, village communities inhabiting the banks of the Borzhava river (future prototype of the Borzhava River Basin Council) will gather to discuss common problems of the Borzhava Valley.
The press tour is a continuation of the information day within the Day of the Danube.
The events are organized by the Transcarpathian Regional Organization of Ukrainian Environmental League, the EU Project "Additional support to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine in the implementation of Sector budget support", with the support of Uzhgorod mayor, the community of Kvasovo village, Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine and the Tisa basin water resources management.
