In Transcarpathia, the Security Service of Ukraine shut down the activities of a druge dealing group (PHOTOS)

The activities of a criminal group specializing in the illegal sale of wholesale consignments of drugs were shut down in Transcarpathian region by the Security Service of Ukraine. 
In Mukachevo district, law enforcement officers exposed a drug deal group whose members were selling drugs in large amounts. According to the investigation, the offenders, some of whom have previously been convicted of serious crimes, were engaged in preparing drugs for sale at their places of residence and in other non-residential premises. 
The criminals were also selling the finished goods through an extensive network of dealers in the region. During the searches in the apartments of the suspects, SBU officers found more than 15 kg of marijuana, which was stored in plastic barrels, boxes and other containers. The seized substance was sent for examination. 
One drug dealer was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Within the framework of the opened criminal proceedings under Art. 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, investigative actions are being carried out to prosecute all members of the group and other persons involved in the illegal activities. 
The operation was carried out jointly with the National Police in Transcarpathian region under the procedural control of the Mukachevo local prosecutor’s office.
