In Transcarpathia, the police detained a mugger

While being drunk, the offender on the Christmas Eve, at night attacked and robbed on the street a girl who was returning home after work. 
She was screaming for help, but nobody heard. During the fight, she dropped her cell phone, the attacker grabbed it and ran away.
 
At home, the victim told her mother about the attack and informed the police. The investigative team arrived at the scene, the police interviewed the victim.
 
Soon, the investigators found the robber. He was an unemployed resident of one of the villages in Khust district.
 
During the conversation with the police, the man admitted that only after sobering up, he had noticed someone else’s phone in his hands and remembered that he was running somewhere…
 
The attacker decided to return the phone, leaving it in one of the commercial establishments in the city, and called the girl to tell her where she can pick up her phone. But he did not wanted to meet the girl, perhaps he felt ashamed of his disgraceful act…
 
The investigator registered the incident in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations under Art.186 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Sanction of the article provides for punishment by a fine of fifty to one hundred times the tax-free minimum income, correctional labor for up to two years, or imprisonment for up to four years.
