In Transcarpathia, the police caught a bus driver, who driving while being drunk

The work on of accident prevention in passenger transportation in Transcarpathian region continues. During a week, law enforcement officers have already recorded 24 violations of the rules by carriers. One them is a drunk driver who was carrying ten passengers by a shuttle bus.

Near the village of Velyka Kopanya in Vynogradiv district, the police stopped a minibus "Mercedes Srríntèr" driven by a 60-year-old resident of the village of Tyachivsky Lazy. The man was making the last trip, there were ten passengers in the bus. 1.08 ppm of alcohol were detected in the blood of the driver. The man could not explain where he had been drinking and in what circumstances. The police documented the fact and prepared the case for referral to court. Due to such flagrant neglect of the safety rules, the carrier may lose its license.

In addition during the checks, 23 more violations in passenger transportation were detected in Transcarpathia. Most frequently, drivers carry more passengers than allowed and do not follow the route and schedules of bus movement. The checks will continue.
