During the last week, as of January 16, 164 cases of measles have been registered, which is 42% more than in the previous week (164 against 116 cases). Two thirds of all patients (70%) are children under the age of 17 (115 cases). The rest are adults (49 cases).
Most cases are registered in Perechyn and Tyachiv districts – 39 each. In Mukachevo district – 18 cases, in the city of Uzhgorod – 13, in Mizhhirya and Rakhiv districts – 11 cases each, in the city of Mukachevo and Uzhgorod district – 7 cases each, Irshava district – 9, Vynogradiv district – 5, Beregovo district – 3, Volovets district – 2.
Since the beginning of the year, as of January 16, 2019, 420 cases of measles have been registered in the region, which 33.4 per 100 thousand residents. 298 patients are children under 17 years old (71%) and 122 are adults (29%).
