123 cases of measles were registered in Transcarpathia last week, which is 19% less than that in the previous week (123 against 152 cases). Children under 17 years old make up 60% (73 cases), adults – 40% (50 cases). According to the operational data, 85 out of 123 patients are not vaccinated against measles (69%), 13 people have received only one vaccine dose (10%).
26 cases were registered in the city of Uzhgorod and 11 in the city of Mukachevo, 19 cases in Perechyn, 15 in Tyachiv, 16 in Khust, and 10 in Mukachevo districts; in other administrative territories, isolated cases (less than 10) were detected.
Since the beginning of 2019, 884 cases of measles have been registered in the region, ie 70 cases per 100,000 people.
Among the sick people, 597 are children under 17 years old (68%) and 287 are adults (32%), the press center of the Regional Health Center in Transcarpathian region informs.
