In Transcarpathia, the customs officer detained while receiving a bribe of 450 dollars for assistance in smuggling of amber will be judged (PHOTOS)

Transcarpathian region prosecutor’s office finished pretrial investigation and have submitted to the court an indictment under Part 1 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the chief of a department of the customs post "Vylok" of the Transcarpathian customs, who was detained last November while receiving 450 dollars of undue advantage by investigators of the Transcarpathian regional prosecution office together with officers of the regional Security Service in Ukraine Office.  The investigation established that the official had received this amount from a citizen for assistance in smuggling of 10 kg of amber in hand luggage through the pedestrian crossing of the customs post "Vylok" to one of the EU countries, that is received undue benefit through abuse of office.
