A meeting of the Working Group on Compliance with Legislation in the Field of Carriage of Passengers by Road Transport on the Territory of the Region was held on Thursday, November 8, in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. The members of the working group reported about the work done during the current year and identified the main areas for further joint actions.
They also talked about coordinating the work of the group and tightening the control over inspections of road carriers, road users. It was noted that employees of the State Transport Safety Service department in Transcarpathian region together with the patrol police in Transcarpathian region carry out regular checks of road carriers and road users.
Following the meeting, district state administrations and city committees were ordered to intensify the activities of similar working groups on the ground, to strengthen control over the fulfillment of contractual conditions for the carriage of passengers, and to hold tenders for the carriage of passengers on public bus routes.
Also, taking into account numerous complaints by the inhabitants of Irshava district regarding the suburban transport, Irshava District State Administration was instructed to take exhaustive measures to ensure proper organization of passenger transportation on suburban bus routes which do not extend beyond the territory of the district.
