In Transcarpathia, the car of a border guard, who is an active participant in the return of land to the state, was set on fire

Employees of the State Border Guard Service Ukraine are taking active measures aimed at countering illegal activities at the state border. In particular, on the initiative of the Border Guard Service, the activities to return to the state the land plots located along the state border, that were transferred into private ownership in violation of the law, are being conducted.

These measures are often impeded by persons engaged in illegal activities. In particular, they have repeatedly resorted to threats of physical violence and destruction of personal property of the Border Guard Service officials.  

And last night, unidentified persons set fire to the car of an officer of the Mukachevo border guard detachment. This border guard is actively involved in the cases for the return of border land into state ownership. Probably, in this way the offenders once again wanted to intimidate border guards. But, once again we emphasize that the position on combating criminal activities is principled and irreversible. And the actions of the State Border Guard Service will only intensify.

Please note that in all such incidents. the border guard agency will conduct checks and protect the rights of their officers who faithfully guard the interests of our country. Violators, who resort to threats, will not go unnoticed by law enforcement and will be brought to responsibility in accordance with the law.
