The crime was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, ie drug trafficking. The 38-year-old man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention center.
According to the Communications Department of Transcarpatian Regional Police, the drug dealer was detained in Volovets, on May 10. According to Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a search was conducted in the apartment of the 38-year-old suspect in a property crime.
"In the man’s apartment, they found two transparent plastic bags with eight rolls of foil containing a crystalline substance resembling methamphetamine, a plastic container for drug use with a roll of foil and the remains of a substance of unknown origin, a 5 ml injection syringe filled with a light yellow liquid of unknown origin, and electronic scales, which were probably used to weigh drugs. The seized items were sent for examination,” – the police said.
The case is under investigation.
