In Transcarpathia, law enforcement officers detained a group of people involved in the theft of vehicles on the territory of Ukraine

During the joint operation "Frontier-2017" and the check of the operational information of the National Police, at the control post "Nyzhni Vorota" in Transcarpathia, border guards of the mobile border guard department "Mukachevo" together with officers of the National Police stopped a car "Honda" made in 2007 with Italian registration and detained 3 citizens of Ukraine suspected of involvement in the theft of vehicles on the territory of Ukraine. During the detention, one person resorted to a flight.

Subsequently, the inspection of this vehicle was carried out, during which they found tools for breaking up and hacking cars.

At present, investigative activities against the detained citizens and the vehicle are being carried out. The persons and the car were handed over to the officers of the National Police in Transcarpathian region.

The photo of the person, who escaped, has been sent to the border guard units.
