Heads of services for children in districts and cities of the region, as well as foster parents and adorpive parents of the region gathered in Uzhgorod at the round table meeting "Family for every child!".
The Service for Children of the RSA holds such meetings every year, because there foster parents and adoptive parents can learn about the changes in the legislation, share the experience of raising children in families, discuss problematic issues, receive professional advice.
In addition to the Head of the Service for Children of the Regional State Administration Svitlana Yakimelina, doctors, psychologists, specialists of the Department of Education and Social Welfare of the RSA and specialist of the regional office of the pension fund spoke before the audience.
At the meeting, they considered issues of medical support for children, spa treatment, admission to higher educational institutions of children from family-type homes and foster families of the region, as well as current issues of work experience calculation and procedure of appointment of pensions for foster parents and adoptive parents, housing subsidies and so on.
Note: In Transcarpathia, currently there are 41 family-type orphanage (255 children) and 60 foster families (130 children). The total number of orphans and children deprived of parental care who are being brought up in orphanages and foster families is 385.
