In Transcarpathia, for men it is harder to find a partner when they are young, and for women – when they are over 40

This was reported on April 2, at the briefing by the head of the Main statistics department in the Transcarpathian region Halyna Hrynyk.

In Transcarpathia there are 601,000 men and 653,000 women. The predominance of women over men is recorded in all administrative units of the region and is observed among the people over the age of 40 years old. While among the people under 35 years, men comprise the most part. 923,000 are Transcarpathians aged 15 to 70 years.

Last year, 18,968 children were born in the region, 14,813 people died.
