Last weekend, in the area of responsibility of the department "Novoselytsia" of the Chop detachment, border guards detained four illegal immigrants.
The information about unknown persons in the border area came from a local resident. The man said that near the village of Novoselytsia, four unknown persons with backpacks were moving towards the Ukrainian-Slovak border.
The response team acted promptly and smoothly and in a few minutes the unknown persons without documents were detained. According to the detainees, three of them were citizens of Afghanistan (1 man and 2 women), and another one was a citizen of Pakistan.
The detainees were taken to the border guard unit for making administrative and procedural documents for attempting to illegally cross the border. The decision on legal liability and their future fate will be taken in the court.
