Ukrainian and Romanian law enforcement services prevented another attempt of tobacco smuggling. First, a group of people, who tried to smuggle cigarettes to neighboring Romania, was noticed by border guards of the neighboring state. They immediately send this information to border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment, who blocked the area on the Ukrainian side to prevent the offense and apprehend the smugglers. As a result of the joint work, three our fellow citizens were arrested and the illegal transportation of tobacco products in 12 packages was prevented. Relevant administrative documents were drawn up against the Ukrainians, and the cigarettes were seized.
Another 8 packages of cigarettes were found by a border patrol of the department "Velyky Bychkiv" of the Mukachevo detachment. They were left by a group of persons, who ran away after noticing the border guards. Later during the search of the offenders, our compatriot was detained in this area. The man had no documents and could not explain what was he doing near the border. Administrative documents were drawn up against the citizen, and the cigarettes will be handed over to interacting agencies.
