Yesterday, near the village of Dilove in Rakhiv district, Transcarpathian region, Mukachevo border guards prevented another attempt of illegal transportation of tobacco products across the state border.
While patrolling, the border guard team composed of conscripts, using a portable thermal imager, detected a car that had stopped near the border. Two unknown persons came out of it and headed toward the border carrying some packages. In order to prevent illegal transportation of goods across the state border, the servicemen immediately headed towards the unknown men. Seeing the border guards, the alleged offenders left the packages and ran away. During subsequent search operations, border guards found six packages wrapped in black plastic bags, containing 2,900 packs of cigarettes "Marble".
The contraband tobacco products were delivered to the Department of Border Guard Service "Dilove".
