In Transcarpathia border guards detained an offender for the attempted illegal border crossing

Last night, Chop detachment border guards stopped an attempt of illegal border crossing by a citizen of Ukraine.

  During the patrolling, border guard patrol of the department "Palad Komarivtsi" saw an unknown person trying to climb over the fence. Wasting no time, two border guards attempted to detain the offender. However, the man tried to escape. During the chase, the border guards had to make two warning shots in the air.  Then, 200 m from the state border, the border guards detained the man, when he again was trying to climb over the barrage fence. The unknown man was a citizen of Ukraine.

Currently, the man has been brought to the Department of Border Guard Service for the preparation of administrative and procedural documents for the attempted violation of the border.
