In Transcarpathia, border guards detained a passenger car with an illegally altered body number

The illegal import of a vehicle to Ukraine was prevented yesterday by servicemen of the Chop detachment. When checking the car "Audi", which had arrived at the checkpoint "Tisa", the border guards suspected that the body number might have been altered.

Therefore, border guards decided to inspect the vehicle in depth with the involvement of an expert. Indeed, the law enforcement officers found out that the numbered item was welded onto the body illegally. In this way a Romanian citizen tried to import an "Audi" made in 2000 to the territory of Ukraine.

According to the current legislation, the vehicle was seized on the border. The confiscated car was estimated at 53 thousand hryvnias.
