In Transcarpathia, border guards detained a large group of illegals

For the fourth time in two months, border guards from the Chop detachment detained a large group of illegal migrants from Southeast Asia. The foreigners were detained thanks to the cooperation with European colleagues and the prompt actions of the border guards. 
According to the information previously provided by Slovak border guards, this morning a patrol from the Novoselytsia border guard service department found in the woods eight foreigners moving towards the state border. They were stopped 100 meters from the border. Seven Afghan nationals, including two minors, and one Indian tried to illegally enter neighboring Slovakia avoiding checkpoints. 
Officers of the operational and investigative department and squads from neighboring units were engaged to identify the persons involved in the offense. In cooperation with the staff of the Perechyn department of the National Police, possible routes for vehicles that could be used to transport the illegal migrants were also blocked. Operational and search activities are currently ongoing.
